Your role
Description of the Business Line or Department
• Rapid Development of tactical and strategic tools for Exo Fixed-Income/XVA trading desks.
• Re-engineering of our solutions, using new and innovative approaches. We strongly value Software Craftsmanship.
• Be part of a small and dynamic team, sitting directly on the trading desk.
Summary of the key purposes of the role
• Strategic and tactical tool development (Front to back) for the exotic fixed income trading desks (Credit/Rates/Fx) and XVA desk. C# back-end, web-based front-end (React.js) and NoSQL databases (Cassandra/ElasticSearch/CouchBase).
• Address any needs at software design and development level that involves rapid intervention with strong IT capabilities.
• Participate to the development of the market data distribution infrastructure for trading and other Front-Office teams.
• Address production & catalogue needs for the different trading tools and applications deployed by the team.
Summary of responsibilities
• Development of trading applications, for pricing, risk management and decision-making.
• Tactical integration of in-house frameworks to serve exotic trading business
• Work on the global market data publication tool used for pre-trade pricing by trading, sales and engineering across fixed income business lines, as well as e-business
• Build ad-hoc risk simulations and custom reports
• Participate to the daily production.
Your profile
• Solid academic background, engineering curriculum (Master’s degree in computing science, engineering, applied science (phycics, mathematics…))
• Strong Object-oriented programming is required (C#, Java, Python), equivalent to 1-3 years professional experience. Experience with javascript development (React/Angular) would be a plus.
• Passionate about technology and always keen to try something new.
• Knowledge of Financial products would be a plus.
• The team is Agile, any experience of Test Driven development and unit test framework is a plus
• DevOps (CI/CD) experience or knowledge would be a plus.
• Act as a team player by participating to pair programming session with teammates, create documentation on project, maintain the team wiki and participate to team meeting with teams in London, NY and HK.
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
