You will join West Connex Project in Sydney.
Poste et missions:
Follow various geotechnical aspect of tunnel construction works, which include but not limited to logging of samples, face mapping, probe hole logging and reporting on instrumentation and monitoring data. Understanding and review of support design drawing will also be required
Under the supervision of the Geotechnical Manager.
1. Prepare the relevant Inspection and Test plan for any geotechnical works on site,
2. Supervise the designer geotechnical team for the Construction Stages Services,
3. Prepare or review tunnel face logging and compare to expected ground conditions, review tunnel support allocation compared to agreed design,
4. Ensure geotechnical monitoring / instrumentation and related reporting,
5. Interface with Contractor’s construction and methods teams, prepare, review and manage Request for Information,
6. Field change request and Non Conformance reports for field activities
7. Ensure compliance to the design plan and ITP on site.
The Geotechnical Engineer will report to the Geotechnical Manager and work within a team of 3 people within the Engineering Team.
The Geotechnical Engineer shall be prepared to work in night shift to cover the tunnelling site activities.
